First sponsor steps up to support Shrewsbury’s The Big Arts Show

April 13, 2016

Organisers have secured Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors as the first sponsor to support this year’s The Big Arts Show in Shrewsbury.

Originally established in 2014, this year’s show will once again take place at the Greenhous West Mid Showground, from 01 to 03 July. Its aim is to provide a showcase for a wide diversity of artists using a range of formats and presentation through paint, sculpture, jewellery, glass, ceramics, furniture design, photography and performance art. The family-friendly event will include over 150 exhibitors, workshops and talks given by the artists, a real ale bar, eateries, poetry and live music.

Commenting on the role and importance of sponsorship organiser David Dawkins said: “Revenue from sponsorship as well as in-kind support enables us to provide a high-quality offering, keep ticket prices to a minimum, and secure The Big Arts Show’s future. It’s very encouraging that local businesses recognise the potential benefits from supporting an event such as ours and we wish to extend a huge thank you to Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors for being the first to come on board this year.”

Senior partner Andrew Evans said “I am pleased Lanyon Bowdler is once again supporting this summer event.  I went along to the show last year and was very impressed with the quality and standard of the exhibitors and artists – I’m very much looking forward to spending some time there again this year, and would encourage others to drop in during the course of the weekend.”
