Synaxon prepares to welcome members to sell-out fourth National Conference

June 5, 2014

Cisco’s Sarah Eccleston, Dave Sobel from GFI MAX and business guru Guy Arnold to deliver keynotes – ‘sales through service’ and rapid uptake of managed services to be key themes for discussion

Synaxon, the UK’s leading dealer group for IT and office products resellers, is preparing to welcome more than 150 of their reseller members and 40 exhibiting supplier partners to its sell-out conference in the Midlands later this month.

This year’s event takes place at Hellidon Lakes, Golf and Spa Hotel in Northamptonshire on the 19th and 20th June. It will see 40 vendors and distributors exhibiting and keynote presentations from Cisco’s Director of Enterprise Networks and IoT, Sarah Eccleston and from business guru and author, Guy Arnold. Dave Sobel, Director of Partner Community for GFI MAX, the leading provider of systems for MSPs, will also be speaking.

Derek Jones, Managing Director of Synaxon UK, says the event looks like being the most successful ever. “We have a record number of members registered and a fantastic line-up of exhibitors. It will be a great opportunity for everyone to get up to speed with Synaxon and all the new services we are introducing, tune into developing market trends and network with their peer group and partners from the industry.”

Synaxon’s theme for the event is ‘sales through service’ and Jones sees this as an important point to focus on for the whole channel in the coming year. “The economy is turning around and while customers still want great value – and it’s vitally important to keep a firm control on costs, the standard of service you deliver is more crucial than ever now that we are moving into an era in which managed services are becoming just as important as product sales.”

Jones revealed that while only a handful of Synaxon’s members were offering managed services four years ago, when Synaxon staged its first national event, today more than half of all its 615 UK members derive some proportion of their income from this area.

The group has had to take on additional space in an overspill hotel to accommodate all members who want to attend this year. Jones noted that some last-minute registrations may still be accommodated, depending on drop-outs and changed circumstances – enquiries should be directed to Chris.butterworth@synaxon.co.uk.

Alternatively, resellers and suppliers can call 0844 481 5844 or email accountmanagers@synaxon.co.uk.
