Tech Data and TDAzlan announce new appointments
Andy Dow to take responsibility for HP Enterprise Group, Gary Lloyd joins as Director – Cisco & EMC
Basingstoke, 30 June 2014 – Tech Data has today announced that Andy Dow will assume responsibility for the HP Enterprise Group business in the UK & Ireland . He will continue to be a member of the Tech Data Executive Board.
Industry veteran Dow spent nine years at Hewlett Packard in the formative days of IT channel business. After a six year spell at Computer 2000 and further roles within distribution and at Dell, he returned to Tech Data as Group Marketing Director in 2010.
Andy Gass stated: “I am pleased to announce that we are filling this key strategic position with an experienced Board Director who will bring his extensive commercial experience to strengthen our HP relationship and continue to grow our HP business.”
The HP Enterprise Group is located within the Azlan specialist business unit of Tech Data, which also includes the Enterprise Software, Cisco and IBM specialist divisions.
TDAzlan has also announced the appointment of Gary Lloyd into the newly created role of Director – Cisco & EMC. Lloyd joins Azlan from Violin Memory, where he has served as UK&I Country Manager since 2012, prior to which he spent 17 years at leading Enterprise Vendors EMC, Tandberg and Cisco.
