Exclusive Education E-Guide highlights positive impact of IT as Tech Data takes over Microsoft Showcase Classroom to show benefits of software and devices for students and teachers

Basingstoke, 11 May 2015 – Tech Data has worked exclusively with Microsoft to produce an Education E-guide that shows resellers how they can make use of IT to accelerate insight and impact in an immersive learning experience.

The booklet highlights why education is so important and explains the many different ways in which Microsoft is working to help students and teachers get the very best from the latest technology and protect them online. Information on special offers and how Tech Data can support partners in winning business in the education is also provided. There is a Touch Device Finder, a section that compares Windows devices to iPads and Chromebooks, and a visual tour of Tech Data’s renowned Virtual Classroom environment and Demand Generation Portal tools.

Kirsty Prigmore, Public Sector Marketing Manager at Tech Data, says that the guide is part of the company’s on-going efforts to support partners in the sector. “Education remains a key area of focus for Tech Data and we see new opportunities emerging for resellers all the time. Microsoft is a crucial player in education and the guide is a simple way to get up to speed on Microsoft’s activity and offerings in the sector and how Tech Data can help you to make the most of the opportunities.”

It will also help resellers prepare for the heightened activity that comes during the summer months in the education sector, she noted. “Schools are already starting to plan their upgrade activity for the summer and it’s important to make contact early on in the build-up, so that everyone can plan ahead. Tech Data, as ever, will be ready to help you maximise the potential.”

Tech Data is also collaborating with Microsoft by taking over the company’s Showcase Classroom for a day next month to demonstrate the benefits and potential that Microsoft’s software and devices have in learning environments.

The Microsoft Showcase Classroom environment shows how technology can help students and teachers to fuel collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity and how to harness the benefit of anytime, anywhere learning. It is free for partners to use.

Resellers interested in attending Tech Data’s hosted day on Wednesday 17th June should email Jade.Davies@techdata.co.uk
